
Hexavalent Chromium Regulation – Occupational Exposure Identification and Standard Application
Exposures to Hexavalent Chromium (CrVI) are regulated by California’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) through the substance-specific standard in the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 8 Section 5206, which requires the evaluation and control of exposure to CrVI in the workplace Because it can be challenging to know when there is exposure to CrVI in the workplace, this webinar will discuss the basis for the substance-specific standard, how to identify CrVI hazards in the workplace, which operations may have exposures, and what the actions are required by Title 8 to evaluate and address potential hazards.
