CARB Low Carbon Fuel Standard, Getting LCFS Credits

This webinar is focused on explaining how facilities can create marketable emissions reduction credits through the California Air Resource Board (CARB) Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) program. The LCFS webinar provides a history, regulatory background, and goals of the CARB LCFS program. There will also be an overview of the various facility categories and project types that can generate credits, including fuel pathway, project, and zero emission vehicle charging infrastructure credits. In addition, fuel-based credit opportunities and reporting, as well as electricity and hydrogen credit generation will be discussed. The webinar will provide basic information on the application, reporting, and third-party verification for credit generation projects, as well as quarterly and annual fuel reports for fuel transaction facilities. Marketplace compliance will also be discussed, which includes price caps on trades, facilities with emission deficits, credit sales, and the current costs of credits.
